For the retro fans!

Postby todayshorse » Sat Jun 21, 2008 1:12 pm

Work in progress repaint, but one ive been waiting to do for some time with the correct aircraft........its a 747-200, but with alterations to the upper deck windows, it appears as a 747-136...i think anyway!

Beautiful livery, but didnt last long as the BOAC - BEA merger saw to that!!!! And then it was welcome BA red tails!

Thanks! Once ive cracked the alpha issues to really bring this one to life, re-done the engines and sorted the tail (yes it looks rough doesnt it ::)) ive got some super photos that ive found online of the very first 747, with nearly 40 years of muck and bulets all over her and unusual logos for engine companys and stuff, hopefully that will be next..

I know theres one already for the POSKY 747 but its far too clean for me :D

Just wish i could do alphas properly ;D

Cheers! Have a look at this link below - they have baffled me for some time, but ive just followed these bits of advice on some engine details, and lo and behold! they came out pretty damn good! :D

Lookin good man! Youve had some very nice repaints coming out!

How about some for a certain... F-14D?  ;) ;D
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

LOL! Yes i suppose that would be good! But thats one thing ive not even attempted so far - a Military jet!

Ive looked at some repaint kits for the tornado and they - well didnt make sense in that it was difficult so see what your actually painting!!

Theres no real sense of a fuselage outline and things like that...

Ill certianly look into it though :D
