Fraser Canyon

Postby JSpahn » Wed Apr 09, 2008 8:49 pm

I guess Im starting my North American Canyon tour. Part two is the less impressive Fraser canyon in British Columbia. I picked up the Piper Twin from Eaglesoft [smiley=thumbsup.gif], a very fun AC.

I departed CYCY in Lytton, flew around for a bit and picked up CYPS on my ND.  You need to make the approach at CYPS!!, I came straight in on runway 24 which brings you over a mountain at about 8500ft and you need to descend sharply to 560ft. Its a very scenic and challenging approach. Sorry I dont have any approach shots  but I recommend giving it a try.

#3 is a shot of the canyon.

Really nice John. You just can't go wrong with me when you're posting shots like these; a prop and gorgeous mountains ... always good!

And a nice prop too ... I've seen Dave and Roger use it too a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait for the next installment!

Keep 'em coming!

Really captures the Fraser Valley! I'm a fairly frequent guy in the Fraser, I've been through it a lot. Very nice aircraft too!
