Cool stuff ... I like the ones with D-Day markings (that's what they are right?) better than the ones without them.

Just out of curiosity JK: where do you get all your information to do these repaints?

By now, my library on P-51's is becoming rather extensive, but I started here.
And yes, the black& white stripes are the D-day markings and they were only applied after june 5th. Most were removed over the next few months.
The yellow and simple black stripes are theatre markings (black: NW Europe, yellow: Mediterranean theatre).
One of the reasons I do Mustangs (apart from the a/c itself) is the immense variety of markings and noseart. Spitfires for example are much simpler when it comes to markings, there's only a few varieties.
