Uncle Sid

Postby krigl » Fri Feb 22, 2008 7:11 pm

I had an uncle called Sidney. Well, this is Sydney: 2nd part of my first hop in VSX from Long Reefs. I expect it has BPB but what the heck....

Lots of houses indeed.... my mind fails me when I think what FTX is going to look like.

There you are then. A new era begins etc.

Your FSX is looking mighty fine. Like your choice of aircraft and its colors.

nice shots there.

quick question. does VSX override the global textures like VOZ for FS9 did?

Thanks guys!! I wish I could afford to get UTX and GEX but right now I'll have to be satisfied with freeware stuff - still looks quite nice  :)
Carenado's aircraft are beautiful too, glad I managed to 'port' this one.

Esselbach - It's Carenado's Cessna 206. It's for FS9 but it works okay in FSX, the flaps don't visibly move and the VC is messed up, but that doesn't bother me too much  :)

Ndude737 - There's no switcher for different regions or to even apply any changes at all, and I think there are no, or few texture changes, though I haven't read the manual very carefully. I think it's mainly landclass work, though I haven't explored much.

Chiptas - Here: http://vistaoz.org/downloads.html
You'll see VOZ AI for FS9 and FSX and Holger Sandmanns FSX mesh there too. And VOZ for FS9 of course, if you have FS9 get the combined 1.5 pack, then add 1.6 if you like, though 1.6 messed up some stuff for me and changed little AFAIK....1.5 is what you need really for FS9.

J - I'm still slowly building my FSX sim and I will wait and see until REX is out if FSWC will work with REX water okay. I'm cautious.... I think the water looks a lot better than in FS9 so I'm happy for now  ;)

Awesome shots Roger ... very realistic. Not that I've ever been in Sydney but still. Looks like we're up for another great tour and I'll be following this one as I did with your last.

Keep 'em coming! (just don't ever use that Firefox again ;D)
