Ok I give up, which way's forwards?

Postby krigl » Wed Feb 13, 2008 4:35 pm

I thought I really ought to get back to my million year old VOZ tour and see the sights of South Australia in FS9 before the new high-def all-singing all-dancing Orbx FTX Aus Blue package comes out for FSX, possibly as early as Feb 20th.

Because much of it is barren and uninhabited it's another gap in VOZ coverage - poor landclass, few airfields - not the kind of place I want to spend days flying over in a bugsmasher. Looks like it was time for the Orbital Interceptor.

Left Port Augusta on a fine clear day...... so I turned off Active Sky and made my own weather.

Look at all those blotches down there!

Sped the sim up to 8x and sinusoidally waggled my way west along the coast, looking for some vaguely interesting scenery. Eventually we started to see some decent landclass, with dry forests and brown lakes.

After rather a long time even at 8x, why it must have been around 40 mins or more, we finally reached the picturesque Albury area.

On approach to Albury.

Parked.

That's it for today. I need to download Voz 1.6 to get the most out of Western Australia and Perth.

Cheers

It's a depiction of what maybe Aurora but probably officially called Astra.  Nice shots m8 of something very different!   :)
