Pretty sure I didn't post this leg already, but who'd remember?

Finally beginning the descent; looks like I'll encounter some clouds before i see the airport.
Of course ATC levels me off just inside the layer... but about a minute after the last vector I can just barely make out the field, dead ahead.
Determined not to come in too high and hot this time, I dirty her up early...
Not too shabby, although still tending to land long. Man, this thing is slippery!

ATC's rather broad approach pattern, and a view of the entire route... did OK managing fuel, so I should be fine for the remaining legs.
[Realized later that I totally miscalculated the fuel requirements for the hop from McMurdo to New Zealand... that will require some "cheating" with extra fuel]
