Indeed. I have to say though that repaint would look very nice on the RealAir Mk XIV... :) ;D

Maybe it might work, i'll have a try in a while to see if it will work,

Thanks again for your comments.

hi again, nemo just acquired the alphisim and tex. and happy to have done. have the just flight package, and as good as it is, i keep feeling there's something not quite right with some of the planes. too chunky looking, but i'm not one to know. when the lines flow, i get excited when they don't quite.....i feel a kind of loss..but of course it is all subjective.....what do you mean, change your graphic card settings? any secrets to share? ;D ;D

They all look like photos to me. I wish I could get that level of detail.

I really dig that repaint, very nice job.

The only critique I have, is that the drop-shadows under the exhaust pipes and horiz. stabilisers would look a bit odd if one is flying inverted. I'm just nitpicking though, it really is a grand repaint. :)

The Just Flight package was an interesting one. The early Mks (Prototype - V) were very nicely modelled, the IX was nice, but the XIV was puzzling, particularly considering the XIX (in real life visually nearly identical in profile - minus guns) was nicely done too... The XXII was nice once the fin was remodelled so it was like the Mk XXII everybody knows about (it originally had a short fin and rudder in the package)...

The Just Flight package also made a pigs ear of the type 509! I mean hello it is a big yellow 2-seater... and it ISN'T a 509, it was a Mk VIII modified to be a trainer (several important differences) ::)

yancovitch,
out of all the the payware spitfire packages around at the moment, the Just flight one is certainly the best, but I.M.O the Alpha Sim Spit comes a very close second,
as for the graphics card settings and colours, i use the ATI Tray Tool which can be found at Guru3d.com,

They all look like photos to me. I wish I could get that level of detail.

thank you very much,

I've got some similar shots here of the Prototype Spitfire which i'm going to post in a short while,
