'Easy' PMDG repaint

Postby simonmd » Fri Feb 03, 2006 3:42 pm

This is my first 'proper' repaint and i'm quite pleased with how it's turned out. This is a repaint of the PMDG 747-400 in EasyJet colours, fictional of course, the largest thing Easy Jet fly is the 737!

Looking a bit out of place at Luton airport!

The inside has been 'easy'd' as well,

Some reading for the EasyJet pilots who are used to something smaller!

Night textures,

Was more difficult figuring out how exactly to use Photoshop than doing the paint! I like it though, it's a nice bright, modern, simple livery that looks good on most planes.

Comments welcome, if I get enough interest, I may well upload it for all to share.

Nice. I was briefly confused by the Easy' 318 doing a Tristar impression in the first shot! ;D

Through the door of course! ;)

Seriously, the PMDG 747 has not only a Virtual Cockpit but a vertual cabin for the top deck as well. You can move around useing 'F1 View' which is a free addon that allows you to 'leave your seat' inside a VC and move withing the plane.

Well-done Simonmd.
I read your other post about your initial problems with Photoshop. When you get used to it, it is a simple program. Many others use Paint Shop Pro, saying it is easier. I find it difficult to get used to that, as I know Photoshop by now and find it tidier.
And, it is the best program around, for sure.

The advice you were given in other post (make layers and save in psd form ) is the first step to learn. Ver sound advice, that was.

Cheers

Nick from Athens, Greece.

Actually, in one of my airliner magazines I saw a picture and small about Easyjet and it was a 747-200 parked in easy colors.  the picture wasn't a fake either like some you'll see circulating around.  i need to try and did this one up because I just do not know why on earth they had this plane painted like this. perhaps it was a promotion or something as I hear they are looking to start up some low-cost long hauls.

Stranger things have happend. Remember Laker's Skytrain from the late '70's? Failed but started the whole budget thing off.

Thats Cool 8)

But can you change the cans to budweiser or add a bottle of vodka+ a can of red bull?
How about  some hooters waitress' with  a t that has the "easy" logo on the front? ;D
then youll have yourself a truly fine repaint
