Nice shots!

RE: the explosive strips. I think they are there purely to remove the canopy glass, i know the Tornado has them, as does Hawk, as mentioned above. Harrier does too, but Typhoon does not, the whole canopy is thrown off!!

Ive seen the Tornados explosive strips at very close quarters, a nervours half hour cleaning the canopy if an Tornado F3 during work experiance at BAE Systems!!!

Its called MDC (Minature detonating chord). Generally it is installed in aircraft where the perspex shatters and the canopy frame remains in place. It also saves time as the ejection sequence doesn't have to wait for a heavy canopy to be blown away - the pilot can be fired up through the shattering canopy...
