more souvenirs.. double deckers over the Alps

Postby krigl » Thu Dec 22, 2005 4:59 pm

On Sunday I went for a flight with Clipper and Spyro over the Alps... Provencal style!

Image

Two Breguets... almost too good to be true.....!

Image

Spyro and I left Lugarno in the Breguets, Clipper in something more comfy. Shortly into the flight Spyro discovered that his Breguet was almost uncontrollable...so he changed to something else leaving my double decker as the only one cruising the Alpine skies...

A couple of other guys came with us, Tinmanjr and someone else, and did a good job of keeping up with my Breguet... Here we were negotiating the high peaks, very exciting stuff it was too...

Image

Thundering through the skies with the two light aircraft in hot pursuit, in flypast mode, it reminded me of a colossal spacecraft pursued or escorted by fighters, rushing past the screen, first my monster, then first one then the other light plane, whizzing by in a thrilling dynamic manner not dissimilar to this:

"NNNNEeeeeeeaaaaaaaooooooowwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Image

I put my wheels down to lose some speed and allow my escort to stick with me...

Image

We got to our destination, Interlaken, by more luck than judgement and touched down...

Image

After flying in Egypt I did a bit of singleplayer, just me and this fabulous ellipsoid beauty... and shot a couple of screenies in the early morning light.... :)

Thanks!! :)

The Breguet is available here:

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... DLID=77347

unfortunately not (yet?) at SimV...

It has a DC3 panel and sound, no VC... but a lovely model...

If anyone wants to MP in them let me know, it would  be awesome to see them in formation :o

Regards

I'd love to see that bird in formation sometime, with me in one of them of course. ;D Shouldn't be too hard as it's a piston prop, accelerates and decelerates quickly.

We should give it a go sometime! :)

Wow, some people want to do MP in the Breguet...! Wonderful news, I'm excited already! :)

Provisionally shall we say Wednesday night at 8gmt...?

I'll post in the Multiplayer forum on Monday with more details, and people can give input (or even now in this thread) on what would suit them better...

Right now it's Christmas Day in the Czech Republic, so I have to go now. And tomorrow it's English Christmas, so I'll be back 'in' probably on Monday....

I wish all of you at SimV a very Happy Christmas, or whatever else people are celebrating, or at very least a nice couple of days off!!!

It's been a pleasure being a member of this forum for the last six months and I'd like to thank all of you for being good 'virtual playmates er, companions... :D

Regards
