It's Briefing Time again

Postby T.O » Fri Jun 11, 2004 11:21 am

It's 16.03, the sky is clear and the wind is... well, not doing much really...

That's good conditions for formation flying, isn't it ?

And those two used to fly together a while back.

A bit of concentration now...

It was on AI.
Formation flying is pretty hard in multiplayer because of the lags. It's ok if players are on a LAN, but over the Internet, forget it....

Cheers

Formation flying isn't impossible on the internet.

This shot was taken during one of the last simv dogfights. After the initial fray people came and went and we eventually decided to do some formation flying as perusual. Anyway, P38's for those flying the formation. I was in a Mosquito acting as camera ship. As you might notice, I had to pull some pretty strange manuvres to get a half decent view. But it shows well how you can hold a formation over the internet. ;)

Well, I think you proved me wrong on that point.
So I've gotta give it a go again.  ;D

One thing though, this shot comes from CFS2, doesn't it ?

I believe Multiplayer is much smoother in CFS2 than in FS9, but I uninstalled it a while ago because of low HDD space  :(

I don't think there should be much difference. If you get yourself your own game room, and if you can ideally get a broadband or cable connection then you shouldn't have any problems. ;)
