It is not listed as a Concorde destinations as it was a gvmt flight
for President François Mitterrand to meet the US President George H. W. Bush
who came with the Air Force One, a Boeing 707. The 2x747 was to be delivered later.

I have been flying both AF (1987) and BA (1990) Concorde as a passenger.

I checked the landing speed of the French Concorde and it was 185mph. I wonder if they had to pop a chute to stop that ac?

They planned for it...

It had to be manually packed.

Here is a link to a site dedicated to the Concorde SST: http://www.concordesst.com/home.html . It has lots of info.

I believe the one thing that doomed the Concorde was that it's engines were TOO LOUD. The other was the cost.

My great-grandmother lived a few miles from JFK in valley stream. I used to go with my grandfather to help around her house. Her whole house shook as a concorde flew by on the approach. Up until that day i always wondered by she never used anything but plastic plates. I only saw it 5 or six times but boy up close she was a beauty
