Many thanks!... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

I will pop up there from Sacremento tomorrow, following Highway 5, turn right at Redding onto Highway 299, in my Cessna 150 Aerobat...

Looks like an interesting trip!... :)...!

Took a trip there from Sacremento this afternoon...

Bit disappointed in the FS 2004 scenery.
Even though I selected the VOZ "South West Region; Dry and Dusty texture", to replicate the California Summer Scene, (which is mostly very dry and dusty!), the scenery surrounding O89 was as green as a South American jungle, unlike the Photo above!... :o... ;D...!

Before I take a trip to a Cal Airfield, I "Google Street Map" the area first at ground level, and wander around to view the surrounding scenery, but I find it very difficult to replicate that particular Texture and Colour in the Flight Sim using VOZ, GE Pro, and REX, etc.... :'(...!

California Central Valley is often very dry, and its difficult to replicate those conditions, particularly the "Colour" which is mostly "Yellow", often with sparse vegetation.

Byron Airfield (C83) is as dry as a chip in the Summer!

Paul...covering my Monitor with sand... ;)... ;D...!

Edit: With a careful spot of "Colourizing" with GE Pro, using VOZ South Western Region, turning down the Autogen (Trees), and selecting Mid Summer, Mid Day, and clear skies, the CAL Central Region texture and colour is more accurately represented now... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!
(I suspect Northern Cal will still appear green though, (lots of Forests, like Oregon above it).
