What I've done is to copy the pic several times and then strip each copy down to various portions of the pic and adjust each one in seperate and different ways. I used 7 different layers for the aircraft, 5 for the clouds and 10 for the ground. And then I used the visibility sliders to fade or enhance each layer to get desired blends and effects.
Normally I would just do all of my editing on the same layer and adjust the entire shot globally, but this new method allowed me to just tweak certain parts of the shot without messing up something else in the shot that I already liked in it's current state. ;)

Cool edit Shane... 8-) You crammed a lot of nice effects in there! I haven't tried putting something new in the shot for ages, might have to give it another go...

I was wondering that myself  :D - luckily Shane explained and I think I've got it now.... but I can't lay claim to the technique of using multiple layers unfortunately, it's how photoshop is meant to be used... it's new to me because it took me this long to RTFM  ;D
