Would appreciate some input on how to get the shadowing correct. Could not get it to match the shadows on the boat. Thought it turned out decent though.

Very nice, and very close!
I have found that it's helpful to print out the pic I'm gonna use for my background, and then use it for reference while I move the plane,and adjust the time of day to get it to match as close as possible. This allows for minimal filter work to get it the rest of the way there. ;)

That would be a lot easier, thanks. I have just been choosing pics that i already had in my screenshot folders. One question, is there a filter to get the original shine of the water back on the layered reflection. I searched through everything and could not find a way. Using photosop 7.

Copy the original background as a seperate layer and then you can reintroduce elements as needed. ;) Make as many copies of the original as you need. :)
