Well browsing the net for some textures I wanted to use in a 3d model I found this program for Photoshop. It is called Filter Forge www.filterforge.com. What it allows you to do is creat photoshop filters of any kind you can imagine.
For people with photoshop you know that filters are one of the greatest things about the program and their effects can give some very pleasing results. With this program you can make your own to give a photo a certain effect, make a certain texture, you name it.
Also this site has over 4000 user created filters that you can download and use in photoshop (if you own the software). Take a look at some of the filters here: http://www.filterforge.com/filters/
The software comes with a 30 day free trial and a 10% off offer if you buy a software option within 7 days of the trial.
So what does this have to do with the FS editor? Well a lot of edits i see here are done with stock photoshop filters. Some of them look good but most look average to anyone who knows what the filter is. This gives you an opportunity to expand your filter library by 4000 and use them in your edits for FS screen shots, photography touchup/manipulation, or coll designs for a wallpaper or texture.
I just downloaded my free trial today and have played a bit with it. Like most programs of its kind it does have a learning curve to get to know what eatch funtion does but with a bit of time you should be well on your way.
Just thought I would throw this out there as a new recource to the Editing and photography community here....
