Yep!

They're called "Composites", and take quite some skill to make them look good.

Excellent, as usual Eno ;)

I hope you don't mind, if I point out some things that detract from the picture (IMO) do you? It is good all around. The cut out is very clean, and you can tell what you are looking at. The lighting, does not match between the composite material however. The dynamic shine on the plane, is on the right side, whereas the light on the clouds, is on the left (left in reference to the side of the plane). The plane, is also a bit too bright, and isn't yellowish enough to match the background. The smoke too, is a bit too white. Granted, it is far better than any of my composites, but these are some things that need fixing to make this the perfect edit. ;)

I think you'll find that the lighting is from the right and above both the aircraft and the clouds ..... as for the colouring that's art and the light reflected from metal is totally different to cloud and therefore would be brighter (I spent 12 years lighting different objects including theatrical smoke which closely resembles clouds). As for the contrail ...... I'm still working on perfecting smoke effects and there's some way to go.  ;)
