I would not say it was that bad. You may need a more advanced editing program or something. If this is what you love to do, don't stop. Always pay close attention to the details and try to improve your technique with every edit. I edit photos for a living and after all these years, I still try to improve my technique. Don't be discouraged!  ;)

I'm not discouraged... just to me it looked like a normal cut-out... not "the worst ever" .... I may have sharpened it a tad to much.. but I'm still learning everyday

No landing gear?  :-?

I wanted to make the plane smaller to it appeared to be higher, but then it would have lost more quality... I forget a lot of little things that I wish I wouldnt :-/

You're just being messed with, Nick! FlyBajan hit the nail on the head, M8!  ;) :)

I think it's one of the best you've done thus far. It's more interesting, more balanced, better lighting AND you didn't clip the plane, hee, hee!  ;D

So, the guys are on your case today. That's because sometimes you don't seem to heed the good suggestions they offer to you. Gets a bit frustrating after a while. You know how to remedy that? Take their good advice, incorporate it into you work and make some great images!  ;)

Talk about 'light the blue touchpaper and stand well back' :o ;D

This is a nice edit overall... the idea was good. However there are one or two problems with it - blurry islands sitting next to much-sharper water, the lack of realism (landing gear).

This one goes well with the phrase 'a diamond in the rough' - it needs a bit of polishing (aka fine-tuning) to get it perfect, but it's promising nonetheless.
