South Armagh, Northern Ireland, August 1990. After spending all of the previous night and most of the day on a close observation of the OC Armagh Provisional IRA our two Bricks or two 4 man teams made it back to the RV for pickup and a long wait. We were scheduled to be picked up by the RAF 2 hours earlier but they didn't show because of other commitments (Having tea and scones more like lol or there was a cloud in the sky).

After many radio calls for pick up we were told to pop the smoke and 2 Army Air Corps Lynx's arrived flown by Navy pilots..

We knew we were in for a good flight!!!

It wasn't long after this that a friend of mine was seriously injured when the Lynx he and 5 others were in one of them killed hit a Swan. It took the lynx completely out.

During day operations we always went by chopper, at night we used CPV's (covert patrol vehicles).

Thanks for looking

The story is interesting, but the edit is not my cup o' tea.

Man, I think that the image goes PERFECTLY with the story! You really got my head into it, Brett!  :)

You can't please all of the people all of the time. That's just the nature of making art. Everyone has different tastes and that's a wonderful thing. As for me, I like it! Real moody and kind of sinister looking!
