A great shot, but it is unfortunately ruined by compression. Be sure to take full advantage of the 100KB. Other than that, good job!

Compression is a female dog.

But considering the complexity of the background shot, it's to be expected  ;)

Good shot though, its a good edit, do you have the uncompressed version you can upload to photobucket or something?

Alex

Just realized you have another 50kb to play with, shots only have to be below 100k, you could upload a less-compressed version  ;)

Can't see it, Brett. Something wrong over there. The page seems to keep loading and loading but never fully loads!  :-/

At any rate, are you sure that it's up in .png? In the past they have only accepted .jpg's. You might check to see that it hasn't been automatically converted to a .jpg file!  :o

Hmmm... I don't see a difference! Did you size up the small one? If you did, that usually doesn't help, hee, hee! You usually need to size down from a larger version.  ;)

Nope went back to the original png and sized down mate..  The background was rather grainy in the 1st place so maybe that's the problem.  Also I only use png's now at SSA mate and no they're not converted, SSA now takes the big ones.  Dunno why it's not working it's fine on mine.

Maybe it's the resample filter you are using.  :o

Wow, that's kewl that they take .png now! That's my favorite format for posted images!  :)

Well, I have a lot of security stuff on my puter and maybe the SSA site doesn't like that. Noticed that it kept pinging my firewall but my ports are closed so it was denied.  :P

Ah! Tweaked my settings! I can see the .png now!  :)

I see what the issue is, Brett! It's quite simply an antialiasing issue! Can you crank your antialiasing up higher? If you can, even if it causes stuttering, it's not an issue when making screenies. You can crank it up for screenies and drop it down for flying.

Also, sometimes things appear "saw toothed" a lot more at certain angles relative to the "camera". Changing the POV can often reduce that quite a bit.

BTW, congrats on becoming Mod of the film making forum over there. Haven't been over there for a long time so I'm not up on what's new.

Cheers mate..  No Don AA and AF are both maxed.  I don't care care about stuttering as screenies is what I'm about lol but saying that my system seems to run fs2004 maxed absolutely smoothly  and have noticed that about jaggies especially with black or dark paints against a bright sky.  White paints also have their own issues..  Sometimes the only way to sort it out is with the straight line tool when editing.

Thanks again regards the mod role mate..  As you know I was a mod for the fsforums there but had to take a forced leave so I ended up in the film making side now..  Bit of a change but I like it.

Sent you a PM with an image in it. Hope you'll be able to see it. If not, I can always email it. At any rate, see if you think it represents some solutions to the graphics issues with this one.  ;)
