thats another really good edit, you really get the cold feeling from this, the chill of the snow ridden area! the colours really work with another really nice looking model.  you have something to be proud of with these edits!!!

you should make some high resolutions of those shots :D

Thank you very much, James! The only thing more fun than creating them is when someone else enjoys them as well!  :)

Thanks a lot, NDSP! I don't want to break the rules so I'm keeping it to 800 pixels wide and under 100 kb. Are we permitted to link to a larger image? From what I read in the rules, I thought not but please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!  ;)

Thank you kindly, a1!  :)

I have a lot of fun making them and it's even more fun when others get a little kick out of looking at them!

What many people do is they take the 800 x 600 pixel shot make that a link to the 1024 x 768

If you know how to make a thumbnail, then you just take the 800 pixel shot and make it a thumbnail to the 1024 pixel shot. Just because in the competitions where thumbnails are used, they use small 126 pixel thumbnails, doesnt mean that you have to here. You can make your original 800 pixel shot a thumbnail just as it is, without making it smaller.  Actually its very simple. To make a thumbnail, i think Krigl put a demonstration in the "Gallery Gates" competitions first post ;)

If this whole business of making the 800 pixel shot a link to the high resolution shot doesn't make sense to you, then just put the regular link down ;D, because im sure its allowed (a lotta people so that)

Nick

PS: You also have to make sure the high resolution is under 100 kb :(, but still its better than nothing :D

Thanks a lot for the 411, Nick!  8-)

Yikes! 100 kb in hi res, hee, hee! Mmmmm... think I'll stick to the small size in that case. Even at 800 pixel width I'm having to fiddle with the compression to get max quality and still keep it at 100 kb or less.

It's ok though. I actually enjoy working with restrictions and limitations. Makes you problem solve and think creatively about how to make it work best. Nothing like a good challenge for the brain!

I fully understand the necessity for the limitations. Bandwidth is as expensive as platinum! Quite ridiculous!

Cheers,
K. H.

Thanks a lot, krigl!  :)

I like monotones sometimes but I tend to shy away from sepia bcause it's been done so much! Lots of colors out there to choose from!  ;)

I decided to be less "anal retentive" with this one; more "loose" and "artsy" instead of attempting to be technically precise. There are lots of ways to present images and, IMHO, one is not inherently superior to another.  8-)
