I think it's pretty neat, but compression did take it's toll afterwards didn't it

Also, it seems oversharpened to me. :-/ Nice job though.

Its not bad, I can see what you are trying to do, but try something aside from colours if you can, some background scenery, motion blur, or similar.
It depends on what software you are using, but you can always get a free month-long photoshop trial
from the Adobe website. I think it is a month, at least. :)

I think you sharpened the crud outta it :-/
But I think you need to look at other peoples edits and see what you like and what you dont like. Thats what I did, and Im getting the hang of editing.
Nick... passing on comments on my first edits to new editors 8-)
PS: Look at krigls work and see what he does. I got alotta inspiration from his shots

I like the new colours, just go easy on the sharpening. It should be very subtle and not clearly visible. ;) Also, the pic could use some brightening and I'd crop off a big part of the ground to make the pic more balanced.

Nice first effort, no critique to add to the above....except - I like the colour!
Red is bad for compression, though... try making the pic a bit smaller, say 700 wide - still big enough to view, but will be less heavy and you can keep more quality.
Playing with colours is a fun way to start with editing, makes my eyes go funny after doing it for a while though :o
