Was trying to make a background for Splat...and this was the result.

I went into fs and took a picture of the tomcat with the sun in the right place, cut it out stuck it on a picture of an F14 taking off without the F14, changed the contrast and added shadows. I think it blends quite nicely :)

Great job! It's better than my try at it. How did you remove the original F-14...clone stamping?

Yes....the other advantage of doing this was ready made heathaze :D

Heres the other two I was playing about with...I preferred the tomcat though...

The positions of the planes can still be altered, so critisizm would be good...

Just shows how great photoreal paints and models can look. Your edits all look amazing too, though why bother editing a photoreal plane in place of another when you can just leave the photo as it is for the same effect??  :-?

;) ;D

Did you add the shadows, or is it FSX self-shadowing?

Krigl

1. I enjoy making FS planes look like photos :)

2. I added the shadows....I uninstalled FSX months ago ;)

One comment, if you look the water line isn't exactly straight where you took out the F-14, remember, I can't do any better :-X, just noticed! ;) Looks Great
