Looks like the Canyon was taken from Google Earth.

The background is from Google earth. Altitude around 10,000 ft. The plane is from FS9.

The black water is kind-of strange, but it looks pretty nice otherwise

Actually the water is black in real life. ;D

Lake Powell is very deep and very dark water...that's pretty much what it looks like in real life. ;)
