Actually not a comment, but a question.

The angle off the nose looks wrong to me for some reason.  Maybe move the tracers up a bit.

Yup...tracers are way off.  ;)

All your lines should run the same way, perpendicular to the fuselage and the gun barrels.  The way you have it now the gun would be running in line with the canopy... :-?

The tracers themselfs don't look half bad, but remember that A-10's GAU-8 is shooting around 4,000 rounds per minute....that is about 70 rouonds per second with every 5th round being a tracer (that's what we do in the Navy for our M61A1 20mm so I don't know if the AF does the same with the A-10).  So....your tracers would be more of a "line" than staggered like that.  :)

PICKY!!!

lol...only joking, but im not sure whether I could do that.

About the tracers being off, as I said this is my first go, and the barrel of the cannon does point down a bit (I just did it a bit too much ;))

LOL, you asked for comments... ;)

Yup, the GAU-8 is angled down but the deflection is somewhere between 1/2 and 1 inch.  The deflection in that shot is like 1 foot.  ;D

Sorry if I'm picky about ordnance, it's been my job for the last 11 years.  ;)

Great edit not taking away from the work that is for sure!

It looks great. I hope I will be able to do edits someday.

The scale of the aircraft seems off. I'd probably try to find a background without trees. Or in this shot, with the tracer line corrected upwards it'd pass by the tops of the trees, so you could leave the trees in the foreground and make the tracers go behind. That'd give the aircraft the perception of being further away and would make it seem more in-scale. Also, for more realism, the A-10 http://www.mabarn.ang.af.mil/Pics/676W1905th.jpg produces a lovely puff of smoke when the cannon is fired. I could help give a feeling of speed to the picture to have a trail of smoke.

I think you've got a good concept here, just a few tweaks here and there and it'll be a great shot.

The canon doesn't move? I always assumed the pilot could aim the canon at the target... Is the A-10 that old already? LOL

Nice job on those tracers and cutting out the plane. What technique did you use for the cutting?

It's impossible to make a gun like that aimable, because the GAU-8 is actually about 21 feet long (6.40 meters), and weighs about 620 lbs.
BIG gun. the entire A-10 was built AROUND this gun.

I believe it weighs more than that.  I've heard it compared to a VW bug before as far as weight.  Or maybe thats just with the ammo drum.
