So, as the title says. I have not merged it with any real photo. This is what I managed to produce.

nice edit mate, may i just suggest with the heat wave thingy (minds not working 2day cant think of any proper terms for things, not good when doing ICT coursework  :-/), try and make it s that its not just a block of the effect, try and fade it out a bit, useing the smudge tool or useing layers and the eraser tool (thats if your useing cs2)
