I notied that smoke "thing", but I think it's pretty good actually, especially for a first try. I myself can't master making smoke yet. I've tried, but failed miserably  :-[

Anyways, nice job!  8)

Very nice, your best work for sure!!

I think the smoke looks really good, just perhaps could do with a bit of softening!

What did you do to bring out those colours on the AC, all the good editors seem to do it, i just dont know what to do?

I dont think there is a special thing one does to bring out the colors of an aircraft. Everyone have thire own techniques when editing.  I do different things for different settings, locations, time period and angel.
Sometimes they turn out good, sometimes bad.

A weeee little bit of colour burn usually makes a good base.  ;)
