Thanks Pigeon for the great heat blur tutorial! Gave it a go tonight on some old pics...

Great edits! I especially like the colour-tones!

And a friendly piece of advice... never ask a woman about "wobbly bits"... that just always goes wrong!  ;D

WOW, that last one really is amazing!!

BTW Krigl, what sky are you using, how do you get those black clouds, seen them in loads of your shots and they look great!??

You can get the effect by making a low overcast then putting some other patchy cumulus below that. At least, it works for me.

I darkened the sky in photoshop too, of course, to add to the glowering effect...
