And the edit

First thing I did was Select the aircraft using the magnetic lasso tool and invert the selection. I then added some yellow and a tad of red to the whole amage minus the aircraft using color balance.
Then I selected just the sky(including clouds) to get a deeper color in the sky. I again used color ballance and added more red and yellow. I realized the clouds were a tad to red and bright so I took a brush(something not solid, I have a set of grundge brushes) about 10% smaller than the smallest cloud and used the burn tool to get them darker(burn was at 10%).
After that I selected just the mountains. And adjusted the color to them and did a burn to try and bring out the shadows and lessen the light.
Then I selected the aircraft and used burn to darken the darks and lighten the lights. After I deslected everything and blured the mountain tops and the edges of the wings to remove any unwanted artifacts caused by selecting. I also blured the sky a bit to get it a tad better blending.
I do think I added a bit to much color saturation throughout but for lack of ideas I spent about 25 mins on it.
I think it would have been fun to take out the ground and add some water from another shot and try and reflect the sunset on it. ;D
