Splash Screens

Thought I might start trying some splash screens and came up with a couple of quick ones.

Cheers,

Gus

Hi Gus...those two great Splash screens prompted me to try to change the Default FS9 one.....just as a little excercise you understand. Not sure whether I should have used the pic. but it's just for my use so what the hell  ;D ;D

HI Chris.O. ....You could get expert help on this I guess...but I was "inspired" by the two that Gus put up there to have a go. I simply typed "747 400 pics" into the browser and found what I liked and saved it to the desktop....a bit naughty maybe but it really is just for my own use ;)

I use Photoshop quite a lot so I then "cut out" the aeroplane and copied and pasted it onto a copy of the default bitmap dlgsplash which lives in the Uires folder in FS9. I moved it about a bit then I used the clone tool on the background to cover what was showing of the DC3.......Flatten the image and save as dlgsplash.bmp...rename the original and put the new one in the Uires folder. A bit rough and ready maybe but I enjoyed doing it The splash is just an 800x600 bitmap (.bmp)  so whatever you make will show so long as you call it dlgsplash and put it in the Uires folder.

Goto it then  ;D ;D ;D
