looks like the old trick of coating the front element of your lens with vaseline........that was a method of getting "soft focus", back in the "old" days........utilized more for portraiture than positive detail shooting........

Some of the early plastic food wrap gave the
same affect and was a lot easier to clean up!!! :P

Thanks for the advice Rifleman.  But how do I get the vaseline off of my monitor and does KY jelly work as well?

It was the easiest edit I ever done too... ;)

I just stuck the image in PSP, blurred it, added 3% noise, reduced it to 256 colours, made it greyscale and blurred again...voila. ;D

Actually, I have HEARD that you use the KY on the "backend" of the monitor............ ::)
