One thing about these, and what ive noticed when ive been faffing myself with these, the outcome always reminds me of how the 'tintin' books looked. I know it was a certain style "ligne claire" that Herge used but they always take me right back to my tintin collection!

Oh yes! That's true! Nice observation.
Tintin is a great comic. And as I remember there were always many nice airplanes in those storys.

Indeed, the later books that were certainly more detailed then the earlier works always contained interesting aircraft, usualy correct in every respect. Great trident in 'the black island' and the 707 Quantas V-Jet in 'Flight 714' are ones that spring to mind.

Plus the many others, mosquitos, dc-3's, helicopters and godness knows what from the top of my head!!

I have all the books including several hard back methuen really old ones that i collected over the years... Blimey!
