A quick side-note - one of those things hanging below the spitfire's wings is actually the gun camera - they used to use it to verify kills.

Uhm are you sure Spitfire-Boy?

I think at the spit the small tube under the plane's left wing actually IS the pitot tube. The guncamera was mounted into the right wing with having it's opening in the leadgin edge pretty close to the wingroot.

How many prop blades? Clipped wings? Tailhook? Griffon/Merlin? What kind of intake? Antenna wires...  ;)

4 - no - of cause not - Merlin, as it'S a Mk V - normal non trop intake - no wires.  ;D
