That's a crazy technique :o

Cool in a photo, harder to accept in a screenshot if you don't know what the author was trying to achieve - still think it looks odd with the 'dogfight', but otherwise a wonderful shot. Any chance of a link to the Anet shot?

Thanks for sharing those Sytse, they're really great!

Some of the comments are worth reading too, including  #2's "So much for Digital" (WTF?) and #4's "Almost  terrestrial in an urban way".  ;D What are these Anerd guys on?

I'd still love to see the model for that edit though, come on Akeboshi/Tako, let's see it!

It's a long (like, several minutes) exposure photo. It captures the whole movement of the plane from ground to sky, so the lights look like a continuous line with the strobes blinking on and off.
