How to...

Postby Scottler » Sat Oct 30, 2004 10:41 am

I'm a decent "editor", I'll admit it...but I've always had problems with selecting just the plane, for example, to blur the background or do whatever I wanna do with it.

How do you guys do it?  Is it just a matter of going slowly with the freehand tool or is there an easier way I missed a memo about?

And remember, I despise Photoshop, so I've gotta do it in PSP.  lol
Great edit, Bob.

Personally, if i'm going to use a photo as the background, i take the shot of the aircraft at very high altitiude (100,000 ft) so that all I have to do is use the 'magic wand' in psp to select the sky and delete it, before using layers to put the aircraft onto the photo.

What you got against Photoshop Hype?..... is it the price..........can't possibly be the software' cos that would almost do the job by itself.........Yep! as Igor says....LAYERS are what you have to use .......and patience.. ;)

This is the way I do it http://www.screenshotart.com/index.php?showtopic=1145 It's a tutorial on adding real cloud photos to shots. :)

Nah, it's not the price.  I just find it way too involved for my purposes.  It's a bit too much program for what I really need.

I usually do pretty much what you guys suggested but I was just wondering if there was an easier way.  lol
