Thrust vectoring and modern guts in the F-14.

B-52 built to the specs of Dale Brown's 'Old Dog'

B-36 with B-2 engines in place of the props.

F-15 that turns into a robot with a superiority complex.

The B-52 comment gave me a thought.

Thrust vectoring, canards, and modern guts in a F-14.

A super F-22 with canards and rotary weapons bays with 6 hard points each.

A SR-71 with modern guts, more powerful engines and internal weapons bays.

A stealth SU-37 with US avionics.

A 747-8 outfitted like a VC-25 for a private jet.

Do they make an engine any more powerful?  I know they have the scram jet now, but would it work on the Blackbird?

I believe their new plane, is pretty much just that.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

It's ugly as sin too.  :P  ;)

Thought about this in another thread.  Take the plans for the Spruce Goose, but build it using modern composites and propulsion.  Its design was too far ahead of its time, and might be more feasible now.

F4U Corsair that morphed into a ZR1 Corvette, and back again.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
