Had a think about this one....free?....
Having watched "Ice Pilots" on the History Channel, I wouldn't mind a trip in a Douglas DC4, but by the time that huge thing has got up into the air, manoeuvred around a bit, and landed, the hour would soon be up and not gone very far!
So, for a practical, one-hour flight, and have time to take in all the scenery below, it would have to be my trusty Cessna 150/152 again...or, maybe, a Cessna 182RG for a little bit of extra speed?...
...!
..and remember, if he's paying for it, a one-hour flight for Captain Sensible in a C150/152 only costs him
