Boeing 787 to Take First Flight Next Tuesday?

Postby BrandonF » Sat Dec 12, 2009 1:32 pm

I heard on the news that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is scheduled to take its first flight next Tuesday. (Dec. 15th) Is this true?  :-?

They say the first flight window opens on the 15th, so it's not a guarantee that it will fly on Tuesday.

The Boeing Company is proud to announce that the window for first flight is planned to open at 10 a.m. on December 15. The first flight will occur from Paine Field in Everett, Wash. This date is dependent upon final internal reviews, taxi test and receiving the final experimental ticket from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. We

What will the 787 be flying with on the first flight; GE engines or Rolls-Royce engines?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
