I saw a twin engined C-130 yesterday.

Atleast, thats what it looked like. It flew over my school just after our raider competition. Can anyone tell me what it was. Again, it looks like a  squished C-130, Shorter wing, Shorter chassis, and only two engines.

Depends where you are. If you're in the US, a C-160 Transall is very unlikely.

My bets would be on a C-27, but it could have been something else.

Yah, the US just ordered a whole bunch of C-27s, which are just starting to arrive. (Warning: Bad Joke) If it was me, I would have named it the C-65 because it's half of a C-130.

A G222, the C27 is only a modified version.

As for "C-65", a twin engined variant of the Hercules was proposed as in 1977 by Lockheed. Not sure how far the proposal went.

ummmm...how about a C-123 Provider? There are a few still flying around as civilian cargo planes

There's a Luftwaffe C-160 that flies into Washington-Dulles occasionally, though I doubt that was it.
