I saw a twin engined C-130 yesterday.

Atleast, thats what it looked like. It flew over my school just after our raider competition. Can anyone tell me what it was. Again, it looks like a  squished C-130, Shorter wing, Shorter chassis, and only two engines.
Err 30kb limit?

Depends where you are. If you're in the US, a C-160 Transall is very unlikely.

My bets would be on a C-27, but it could have been something else.

Yah, the US just ordered a whole bunch of C-27s, which are just starting to arrive. (Warning: Bad Joke) If it was me, I would have named it the C-65 because it's half of a C-130.

A G222, the C27 is only a modified version.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

;D Getting LM to put their name to it though, a la EH/US101.

As for "C-65", a twin engined variant of the Hercules was proposed as in 1977 by Lockheed. Not sure how far the proposal went.

There's a Luftwaffe C-160 that flies into Washington-Dulles occasionally, though I doubt that was it.
