Does anyone know of the squadron that the current livery was taken from...or is it just fictional?

This is from several sources.

P-40M (G-KITT) const no. 27490 serial no.43-5802 carries the markings of a Curtiss P-40E 'Aleutian Tiger' of the USAAF's 11th squadron , 343 rd Fighter Group, based in the Aleutians during 1942/3.

If you can try to get in contact with Peter(I cant spell his second name :-[), my dad did with a friend and he invited us to have a look around his hanger, its amazing its the closest i have ever been to a spitfire mustang and kitty hawk, also he was telling us another spitfire rebuild or hurricane is on the cards ::)
