I looked for Kawasaki and 5-97 but turned up nothing. I can't seem to find it on any sites dealing with Japanese aircraft either... ::)

The Nakajima Ki-27 (Nate) was also known as the Army Type 97 Fighter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakajima_Ki-27

Something rang a bell in my single brain cell. I've been doing this for a long time.

There's quite a lot of information on that drawing which helps identify it.

I looked at the first post and said (to myself) "It shouldn't take long to identify a Nate!".

It was the Kawasaki thing that threw me. That and the fact that I'm not that good... ;)
