This is Prob Gonna get moved.

Postby Mynameisnemo » Fri Sep 02, 2005 9:48 pm

while reading a set of books by Nick Pope (operation lightning strike and Thunder child) i came across a few things that seemed to puzzle me.

1. In the books it refares to an incident that happened at Rendlesham Forest in the early 80's.
2. Refares to RAF Macrahanish aka Campbelltown airport as a site for the supposed "Aurora" aircraft.
3. goes on later in the book to mention the use of the supposed "Aurora" aircraft.

I googled the Rendlesham forest incident and it comes up with a lot of information about it.

What would your views be on this?

Yeah. The Aurora is a mainly US-based design. I'm not sure if other countries have in on it, in regard to it being an RAF base. It got turned down for funding numerous times, so it never came to be.

The actual design came about in the late 70's as a replacement for the SR-71 but never went through.

Does that clear it up? :)

The most believeable aspect of the "Aurora Bomber" was its inclusion in the game Command and Conquer Generals. ::)

If it is in fact real, government secrets tend to be secret.  No use in searching for information, as it's all speculation - usually done by loonies.

Exactly what I'm trying to say.

While Rimshot's info is perhaps the semi - official story, there been jibber jabber about it being real.  If it is, it's top secret.  The only information you'll be able to get then is from people who wear tin hats.  The same type who think a cruise missile hit the Pentagon on September 11th. ::) Like I said, if it's real, don't bother looking for it, since the informattion is locked up.  You might as well look for the US Nuke launch codes. :D

Highly feesable as it was a U.S. airbase... and is probably still maintained by the U.S. as it had the longest runway in Europe and probably still does.

The Rendlesham Forest incident is one of the most famous UK UFO incidents on record.

As with all UFO incidents it depends who you talk to as to whether it is deemed real or not, the main difference with this one being that, most of the people reporting the incident were members of the US Air Force & were very knowledgable & experienced in observing aircraft & aerial phenomena.

Although a lot of people explain the flashing lights observed as being a lighthouse some distance away.

I love reading about these things & the arguments for & against - it's the same with ghosts. But thats not too say that I believe in them - I just like reading about them.

Cheers,

TSC.

Lowest speed... dunno, but the reported max speed is Mach 5...
Someone once calculated the minimal turning circle at that speed when taking off from Groom Lake... Crosses all the areas that have reports of heavy sonic booms in the last years
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Ivan, Thats what gets me they say it doesn't exist but what else can it be (besides another spyplane).

Its also rumoured to leave *Doughnuts on a rope contrails*,
And from what i found out while having a quick scan on the net, they are trying to buy the land in a 4000 mile radius of Area51.
