Well known GM car manufacturer springs to mind, and its not a Volvo, and I'm sure it may have something in common with the Flying Fortress...

I can confirm that.

I thought I was pretty good but Charlie's knowledge is incredible.
I also know what it is but won't spoil it for the others. Don't confuse it with a legendary bomber.

Funnily enough, last night I found next to the PC (who knows how they got there...):
Aircraft Illustrated (8/1980, 8/1977)
World AirNews (south african apparently - 10/1977)
Aviation week and Space technology (Jun 29th 1981)
& Air Enthusiast Quarterly (as it was called back then - #4!) with an article on the CF-100!

Over teh winter months, I went overboard in obtaining collections of Air illustrated ('70s and 80's), several Jane's books, and a second-half 1952 Aeroplane Weekly bound set.
Now, if I can catalogue them and place them at hand, ...
I might be able to make people believe that I know just about enough about airplanes as Hagar has forgotten ...

I've got a kit of that in 1/72 scale...I decided to do a series planes from the manufacturer.
Love the gear doors.
