On page 508 of the History, there's details of a two seater fighter, gull wings/ folding. Has anyone modelled this one??? What would it have been named??? Attacker??

The number isn't familiar without looking it up. I can't find it on Google. The Attacker was basically a jet-engined Spiteful. I don't know the specification number. It was the first jet to enter service with the FAA.

Sorry Hagar, should have been a bit clearer. The spec was originated in the 1940's for a Fleet Air Arm fighter.
The Supermarine offer was based on the Spitfire platform using either the Merlin or Giffon engine. I'm assuming if it had gone ahead it MAY have been called the Attacker??? Long before the jet version.

The only two gull wing designs I can think of from Supermarine would be the Type 224 and the 178... don't recall any FAA requirement.

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
