So we all know about the "fork tailed devil" ...  but I've a mind to cobble up some of the "drafts" that didn't make it past the "Drawing on a napkin" stage ... twin pusher props on a "normal" fuselage, with two engines in line in the fuselage, props by extension shafts ... and an F-82 concept (aslo used by an Italian WW2 fighter/interceptor prototype).
