Hi Steve,

I guess I am giving away my age also because I remember the show well. When I first started watching tv the first shows I watched were about aircraft. Sky king and Captain Midnight were on my Saturday list for years.

The first shows I remember Sky King (and his daughter Penny! ) flew a Cessna BobCat T-50. Later shows they flew a Cessna 310, one off my all time favorites.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the age give away club, (just formed) ;D.

All I can remember about watch Sky King was the aircraft. Now wouldn't it be neat if we could find a Cessna 310, and find the paint sceem for Sky King.

Maybe someone out there could design one in gmax.

Thanks for the reply Paul. Anyone else remember?

hey you to - get off that park bench and stop reminiscing!  :)

Don't know the prog because we didn't get it here in the UK - besides which I'm much too young  ;D :P

There isn't a 2004 freeware model (or paint) that I know of but I do remember seeing and I think downloading one for an earlier version - I think FS98 that I tried in FS2002. But very limited model esp moving parts (bit like me my wife says ;) )

Cessna 310

"FS2002 Cessna 310.  An FSDS2 aircraft with
moving parts, a custom panel, custom gauges
and a dynamic virtual cockpit.  This is an
update of the FS2000 version.  By Chuck Dome.
Public Domain."

If I rembember correctly I got it from downloads here, all that is required to make it work properly in FS9 is to replace the reference to cdgps  in panel .cfg, with a freference to your favorite 2K4 gps.

There actually is a Sky King version done, and I think I got it a while back.........but I would have to search my  hangar to be totally sure.......... ::)

Here is part of the readme in the one I have ...

"For Fs2002  The Cessna T-50 Bobcat Series. From out of the clear blue of the western skies comes Sky King!!! This package provides Sky King's original aircraft and Arizona Flying Crown Ranch scenery. Also includes two Bobcats on floats in American and British liveries with related period Columbia River Cabin and Lands End Aero Services sceneries. Just for fun, Sky's new 1949 Cadillac convertible is also provided to cruise around town. All required panel, gauge and sound files are included. Aircraft and scenery by Bill Lyons. T-50 panel and gauges by JL Stubbs. Presented as a Christmas gift to the flight sim community by the Golden Eagles Squadron, 2001."

........so now, you know where to go to see if there is still some availability for it, or contact me and I can send it on ICQ or e-mail to you..........
