The 'Ercoupe' was the first airplane I ever sat in.

This is an Ercoupe, which I shot in Geneseo NY in 2001 ...they are rare now, so I had to record it for future perusal........

Why'd ya shoot it Ken?

For you youngsters that never saw one,

I wouldn't underestimate the youngsters or the oldsters around here. You might be surprised how much they know.

A couple of years ago there was a Ercoupe fly-in into Kissimmee (FLorida).  I arrived just as it was over, and most had gone.

Interesting little plane - roll-down windows, and (standard) no rudder pedals, although many have since been converted to "normal" configuration.  For a "classic", they're relatively affordable (one was selling for about US$17,000)
