2nd larges plane in the world
more passenger space than it's closest competitor (C-5)
Better onboard cargo handling (1 or 2 protal cranes inside)

In other words: the ideal machine to ferry a few helicopters from holland to afghanistan

I'm impressed by all of the Antonovs- especially the -124 and -225

The C-5 will get out of a shorter field as I recall though, whereas the antonov's need ruways longer than the shuttle does. ;)
