You're not going to like this ... but to my eye it's looking a little dated now. A well developed & reliable workhorse no doubt but comparing it to the latest Eurocopters & machines from the MD Helicopters' camp - the 206 (B & L) a little too old fashioned for my eye....

The 206 does look dated.

That isn't always a bad thing though. For any flashy role (Police, Fire, News) the newer choppers have a definite looks advantage.

In the light VIP role I'd go with the 206. It has a classic sort of shape that sorta reminds you of a luxury car. Big square sides, big windows, even the stretch limo look in the 206L. :)

As far as bell 206 -B & L 's go most of them are standard basic models but now and then some are customized you dont see that to offten,one is the OH 58 thats  another cool helicopter but in general most of these bell helicopters come in all different styles .

My dad has 5,000 hours in Longrangers for Delaware State Police and loves them. He thinks it a good, reliable helicopter with good servies from Bell. He also flies the 407 and loves them.
